Vehicle crash at Hot Springs Road apartment causes gas leak and evacuation, one injured
UPDATE: 11:48PM: At least one person inside an apartment was injured after being struck by a vehicle the caused a gas leak in the 600 block of Old Hot Spring Road. The crash forced the evacuation of 15 to 20 people before the broken gas lines were sealed.
The male adult victim was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Scott McDaniel.

A crash tonight in the 600 block of a Hot Springs Road apartment has caused a gas leak and evacuations are underway, according to Carson City dispatch. The crash happened at around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday. At least 15 to 20 people have been evacuated, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
Carson City Fire Department has responded to the incident in which a vehicle crashed into an apartment complex, taking out natural gas structures, said Carson City Sheriff's Sgt. Scott McDaniel. The gas is reported to be free flowing and moving into at least one residence, according to dispatch as of 10:39 p.m. Southwest Gas is responding.
Injuries are being reported. A male suspect driver, possibly intoxicated, is at large after leaving the scene of the crash, said McDaniel.
Hot Springs Road is closed at Tiger Drive for safety reasons. All motorists should avoid the area. Developing ...
