Carson City investigators seek identity of woman involved in vape store theft
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in attempting to identify a female suspect involved in a larceny that happened at a Carson City vapor store.
On Dec. 11, 2017, at approximately 3:50 p.m., the female in the photos entered the Butts Out Vapor Too in Carson City. The female had a small Pomeranian type dog with her at the time. While in the store, the unknown female was assisted by store staff, according to CCSO investigators.
At one point the staff member set down her personally owned vaping device on the counter and walked over to a separate area of the store. While the staff member was away, the unknown female suspect grabbed the store staff member’s vaping device and concealed it on her person, investigators said.
The device is valued at approximately $200. The unknown female suspect completed her business in the store and then left while still in possession of the now stolen vaping device.
Detectives with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office were provided surveillance footage of the incident.
The first two shows the unknown female suspect and the third is a picture of the dog that the female had with her. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking the public assistance to attempt to identify the female in the photos. The photo of the dog was added in hopes that it might assist in helping someone recognize the female suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Morgan Tucker at 775-283-7858, Captain Brian Humphrey at 775-283-7850, or the Carson City Dispatch at 775-887-COPS (2677).
