Nevada Appeal building sells for $11.3 million, to be used by Dayton aerospace company
According to Dickson Commercial Group (DCG), Sierra Nevada Media Group has sold the 90,056-square-foot industrial building located at 580 Mallory Way in Carson City for $11.3 million.
The property has been home to the Nevada Appeal since 2002.
In 2019, Nevada News Group purchased the Nevada Appeal, the Record Courier, Lahontan Valley News, and Northern Nevada Business View from Sierra Nevada Media Group (SNMG).
The building also contained one of the last large scale newspaper printing presses in the region, which was disassembled and sold during or soon after the sale of the Appeal to Nevada News Group.
SNMG kept control of the building that housed the Appeal in Carson City, until now.
The property was purchased by real estate and investment management firm Greelaw Partners with the intention of leasing the space to Bruce Aerospace.
Bruce Aerospace currently resides in Dayton, and produces aircraft interior lighting systems, according to DCG. They plan to move into the newly purchased facility after building modifications are completed in 2023.
DCG’s Industrial team, Nick Knecht, CCIM, Joel Fountain, SIOR, and Baker Krukow, along with DCG Principal Tom Fennell, SIOR, CCIM, represented the seller, Sierra Nevada Media Group, in the disposition of 580 Mallory Way in Carson City, Nevada.
At this time, it is not known where the Appeal will set up their new offices, or when that might occur.
