Western Regional Conference Brings New Life To Student Councils
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. numerous delegates from corresponding high schools attended the annual Western Regionals Leadership Conference. Within the conference comes plenty of dance parties, key note speakers and very positive messages for each and every attendee to bring back to their student bodies at their high schools.
The event is one for the books every single year for every involved member, but the Student Council of Carson High School takes great pride in bringing the conference's messages back to their school. This year's CHS Student Council was very involved with conference including seven JCs (junior councilors), 10 workshop presenters and the remainder of the council filled in the delegate positions.
Nearly every member of the council had an absolute blast, learning about and making important connections to better themselves. The main theme of the keynote speakers who presented were how to advertise for events, why it's important to recognize the people who don't get a whole lot of recognition and how even if you don't feel that you are good enough that as a matter you are.
All of the speakers are all extremely good at what they do and shot waves of inspiration back into the bodies of all those who were willing to take the messages to heart. With the conference over, the next step in the coming short week at Carson High School is going to be able to apply all of the lessons that the council collected and try to apply those lessons to the student body and ultimately make the school a better place.
