Eddy Street Vintage Market gives back to Main Street Gardnerville
Eddy Street Vintage Market is helping raise funds for Main Street Gardnerville, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization. A portion of the proceeds from the $5 entry fee from their 5th Annual Artisans & Antiques Festival will be donated to Main Street Gardnerville to further their work creating and preserving a beautiful and economically vibrant downtown.
"Recently Main Street Gardnerville was turned into a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit which now allows us to accept donations from the community,” said Matt Bruback, Executive Director of Main Street Gardnerville. “Being self-sustaining is very important for any organization, especially when the goal is meant to help support local businesses and revitalize downtown Gardnerville."
Main Street Gardnerville was the first community to receive the Main Street designation in Nevada and is an Accredited Main Street America program. Main Street Gardnerville is neither a business association nor a chamber, but rather, an association of people who promote and protect our community.
“We feel the Artisans & Antiques Festival is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about Main Street Gardnerville and essentially community crowdfund for a program that focuses on helping small businesses thrive in our area. Everyone paying a small entry fee ends up creating a huge impact and makes us all feel like we are in this preservation effort together,” said Meredith Fischer, owner of Eddy Street Vintage Market. “Last year’s festival drew over 2,500+ attendees and we are hoping to have even more this year!”
The 2019 Artisans & Antiques Festival is Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 10:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. at 1235 Eddy Street in the heart of the Main Street Gardnerville District. The event includes 55+ local vendors featuring a variety of handmade items, vintage furniture and decor. Plus, an array of delicious food and drinks will be available for your stroll down Eddy Street.
Eddy Street Vintage Market is Gardnerville, Nevada’s only vintage pop-up shop. The once-a-month shop brings a new spin on traditional retail and the addition of this year’s festival promises to be a fun-for-all event. The festival coincides with Eddy Street Vintage Market’s regular monthly “pop-up” sale.
