Explore the World at Your Library: Indonesia and Malaysia
Carson City Library will present “Explore Malaysia and Indonesia @ Your Library” on Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Digitorium.
Carson City residents Dixie and Rob Jennings-Teats lived and worked in Malaysia and Indonesia from 1977 to 1982. They were part of a non-sectarian, non-partisan international NGO (non-governmental organization). During their time in the region, the pair was engaged in community consensus building methods and a comprehensive village development approach with the Institute of Cultural Affairs. Later, from 1982-1986, they were based in Europe where they trained volunteers and were involved in creative fund-raising to aid the work being done.
