UNR Extension to host Seed Swap Jan. 28 in Gardnerville
UNR Extension Douglas County Master Gardeners Program the 2nd Annual Seed Swap will be on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the UNR Extension Douglas County Office 1325 Waterloo Ln. in Gardnerville.
All gardening experience levels are welcome.
No need to bring seeds, all seeds have been donated by community members.
Seeds will range from: vegetables, ornamentals (annuals and perennials), herbs and more.
There will be UNR Extension Master Gardeners and local experts to answer questions about horticulture topics during the event.
Other activities: Seed Bombs – for those who can’t wait to get their hands dirty come on down to make seed bombs with us.
Seed donations will be accepted from January 4-25, 2022. Office hours are Mon-Friday 8 am – 4 pm.

Why: To inspire new gardens and build community
How it works: Community members donate seeds before January 25, 2022, Master Gardener Volunteers organize seeds and then community members come and collect the seeds. If you don’t have seeds to donate, don’t sweat it. There is plenty to share.
