Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space hosts volunteer events throughout August

CCPROS are hosting several evenings of weed pulling at Lone Mountain Cemetery on Wednesday, Aug. 9, Aug. 23 and Aug. 30 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Aug. 12 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Horsecreek Ranch, CCPROS is also hosting a thistle dig at one of their conservation easement properties. This is a private property located of off HWY 50 W that offer views of Carson Valley and the sierras. Space is limited, email the Volunteer Coordinator to reserve your spot.
Carson City Historical Society hosts free ice cream social on Aug. 12

Community Wellness Drumming

Everyone is welcome, accompanied children through Seniors, with any musical experience or none.
Bring a chair, and your drum if you have. Instruments are also provided.
