UPDATE 2:52PM: A small, 15x15-foot brush fire, caused by a lightning strike, was extinguished in the Goni Pit area Monday afternoon by a single brush engine, according to Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Micah Horton. There were no injuries or property damage.
