Carson City deputies make string of alcohol-related arrests

Carson City sheriff's deputies have made several alcohol-related arrests since Monday. A 50-year-old Galt, Calif., man was arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, having an open container and not having a valid driver's license, all misdemeanors.

The man was reported by a witness to be passed out in his vehicle for more than an hour at a gas station in the 1600 block of East Fifth Street. Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies arrived and found the man sleeping with the vehicle running and the lights on, according to the arrest report.

Carson City man jailed for court violations, witnesses said he tried to break into cars

A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning in the 3200 block of Market Street. He faces misdemeanor charges of violation of pre-trial supervision and court-ordered supervision.

According to the arrest report, Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the area of Walmart on Market Street in reference to a possible vehicle burglary in progress. On arrival several employees pointed to man in front of the store. They alleged the man was going through the parking lot and checking locked doors on vehicles, according to deputies via dispatch.

Man faces felony drug sales charges after officers find Ecstasy, marijuana in search

A Carson City man on probation and with a n outstanding warrant for his arrest faces felony drug charges, including intent to sell after authorities found 3 grams of MDMA, also known as "Ecstasy" or "Molly" and several empty pills capsules during a search of his apartment.

Mark Emory Samuels, 27, was arrested Friday, Nov. 1, 8:18 p.m. in the 400 block of East Long Street.

According to the arrest report, officers with the Special Enforcement Team made contact with the man at his residence on a confirmed warrant from Carson City Justice Court for violation of a suspended sentence.

Carson City sheriff's officers make numerous drug, misdemeanor arrests over weekend

Two men were arrested Sept. 27 and face felony drug charges after Carson City Sheriff's Special Enforcement Team officers found methamphetamine in a console of a van. Both men denied the meth was theirs.

Keith Wayne Furr, 51, and William Dale French, 42, of Dayton were arrested in the 4900 block of Highway 50 East at 5:28 p.m.

Woman jailed on felony battery charge after allegedly spitting on fireman, scratching deputy

A Sun Valley woman faces a felony battery charge and a gross misdemeanor charge of child neglect following an incident Tuesday in which she allegedly spit on a firefighter and used her fingernails to scratch a Carson City deputy in the wrist causing injury.

Capri Johnson, 26, was jailed on the charges and has a bail of $32,500. According to the arrest report, officers were called at 4:41 p.m. to assist Carson City Fire Department personnel with a woman with two small children who was passed out intoxicated in the 1700 block of North Carson Street.

Carson City man jailed after officers find stolen laptop

A Carson City man faces a felony charge of possessing stolen property, a laptop computer, and five misdemeanors after he was arrested Sept. 14 in the 2800 block of Carmine Street.

Eduardo Reyes, 43, was jailed with bail at $27,469. According to the arrest report, officers went to the residence of the man who had a confirmed warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for obstructing and driving without a valid license.

Crime Log: Carson City deputies make two arrests for domestic battery

Deputies arrested a 49-year-old Carson City woman on Monday in the 2800 block of Highway 50 East after she allegedly had a physical altercation with her mother over some artificial plants.

According to the arrest report, deputies also found some marijuana and a pipe inside the suspect's residence. She was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $4,600 plus fees.

Carson City man arrested for domestic battery, baby and mother bruised after being hit with pillow

A Carson City man was arrested and faces charges including domestic battery and gross misdemeanor child abuse after using a pillow to repeatedly beat on his girlfriend in which their baby also sustained a bruise to the face, authorities said.

Miguel Angel Paredes, 23, was arrested at 4:08 a.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Lone Mountain Drive. He faces a gross misdemeanor charge of abuse or neglect of a child, two misdemeanor charges of domestic battery and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing an officer.

Two arrested after Carson City traffic stop leads to drugs, burglary tools

Carson City patrol officers who stopped a Suburban for speeding on Monday morning found drugs and burglary tools inside the vehicle set to be impounded.

Two men were arrested and face multiple charges. The arrests were made at 7:24 a.m. in the 1000 block of Fairview. Alex Matthew Silva, 26, of Dayton faces felony drug possession charges and misdemeanor possession of burglary tools. The other is a 28-year-old Sparks man who faces misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor charges.

Ex-convict jailed for violating conditions of parole from prison

A 34-year-old Exeter, Calif., man was booked into Carson City Jail May 6 and faces a felony charge of being in violation of condition of his parole from prison.

Matthew Michael Ramos was jailed without bail, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest report. The State of Nevada warrant for his arrest was issued Sept. 13, 2012 for failure to comply with conditions laid out when he was granted parole on March 19, 2012.

Carson City bartenders to compete Saturday for best Bloody Mary

Attention bartenders and Bloody Mary aficionados: There's a contest Saturday to determine which Carson City bar keep can make the tastiest, tangiest tomato juice-vodka concoction.

Woman jailed on felony charges; officers make several domestic battery arrests

A 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested and faces felony charges of possessing stolen property and methamphetamine after she stopped for driving in a vehicle with plates reported stolen.

Charity Lynn Rasmussen was arrested Friday, April 5, in the 3200 block of Market Street. According to the arrest report, a patrol officer making a routine registration check stopped a vehicle after dispatch advised the license plates on the vehicle were confirmed as stolen.

Carson City man jailed; accused of beating and choking pregnant girlfriend

A Carson City man was arrested Sunday and faces a felony charge of domestic battery with strangulation after allegedly punching his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach and then choking her.

Aaron Patrick Allen Lane, 38, was arrested at 12:42 a.m. in the 2400 block of Poole Way. Lane also faces a misdemeanor charge out of Walker River Township for failure to pay fines associated with domestic battery.

Man jailed for hit and run near school, admits to taking six Ambien the night before

A 36-year-old Carson City man faces misdemeanor charges of hit and run and driving while under the influence of drugs after admitting he had taken six Ambien the night before to help him sleep and then woke up to drive his children to school.

The man was arrested March 7, 8:37 a.m. at his home in the 400 block of Winnie Lane after witnesses provided a license plate number following a vehicle crash in which the man fled without stopping. He also reportedly crashed into a curb, losing his hubcaps and was seen driving on a sidewalk.

A 32-year-old Dayton woman was arrested early Friday morning in Carson City and faces a felony charge of possessing drugs without a prescription and misdemeanor charges including driving on a suspended license for DUI, open container and violation of bail conditions.

A new Carson City-based company is forming to create television shows targeting Baby Boomers. The Rockin 60's is a classic rock trivia game show that will offer cash prizes and products for people who can answer trivia questions, name 60's music and identify 60's photos as part of this tv show.

The company, formed by SJ Rose, stated that research shows Baby Boomers represent the generation with the greatest buying power in the history of our country.

Man jailed after police foot chase through Carson City restaurant

A 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested after officers were led in a foot pursuit that went inside a busy local restaurant. The man, identified as Tony Clarence Wilson, was tasered on the patio of the establishment located in the 1000 block of South Carson Street.

Wilson faces a felony charge of being a felon in possession of ammunition and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of a suspended sentence. The arrest happened Feb. 1 at 8:30 p.m.

Man faces felony fraud charges after credit card machine and cards found inside room

A San Francisco man was arrested and faces felony credit card forgery charges after equipment used to make cards was found inside a Carson City hotel room, authorities said.

Joshua Jeremiah Sims, 41, was arrested in the 900 block of South Carson Street Dec. 15 at 3:45 p.m. According to the Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest report, officers responded to a call about credit card making equipment found inside a room after Sims had failed to check out earlier in the day.

Carson City authorities arrest woman for throwing rocks at car

A Carson City woman faces misdemeanor charges of property destruction and violation of bail conditions after she allegedly threw rocks at a vehicle, breaking a windshield.

Officers were dispatched to College Parkway and Emerson Drive for a report of a woman without any clothes on who had a stick and was hitting various objects, according to the arrest report.

Crime Log: Carson City man arrested for kicking in door to sister's apartment

Richard McKinley Brumette, 45, of Carson City, was arrested early this morning for felony home invasion and misdemeanor malicious destruction of property.

According to the arrest report, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy responded to the 1300 block of Como Street, where he saw the door to the victim's apartment kicked in. The victim told the deputy that her brother was intoxicated and had kicked in the door. She also said she is not close to her brother, and he does not live in that apartment.

Authorities arrest woman after child allegedly left alone in vehicle

A Carson City woman faces a gross misdemeanor charge of child neglect after allegedly leaving her two-year-old child alone in a Chevy Blazer.
Whitney Rose Warren, 22, was arrested at a parking lot in the 3200 block of Market Street on Monday at about 6:20 p.m. The arrest report states that a witness called authorities in reference to a small child left alone in a locked vehicle in the parking lot.

Vodka binge lands Carson City man in jail; charged with child endangerment

A 44-year-old Carson City man faces gross misdemeanor child endangerment charges after he drank a bottle of vodka and began verbally abusing his children at a Saliman Road apartment.
Deputies were dispatched on Saturday to the Carson City Walgreens on East Williams after three visibly scared, barefoot children asked a store employee for help because their father was at home, drunk and they were afraid of him.

Carson City woman faces drug charge after unprescribed pill found in bottle

A traffic stop near Airport Road in Carson City resulted in the arrest of two women, one of whom allegedly was in possession of a pharmaceutical drug without a prescription.
According to the arrest report, a vehicle was stopped on Sunday and an unidentified driver was arrested for DUI.
During the investigation, a deputy asked the arresting officer to have the vehicle towed. While conducting a vehicle inventory, a deputy found an orange pill bottle with the suspect's name on the top, according to the arrest report. The suspect was a passenger in the vehicle.
