Carson City man jailed for court violations, witnesses said he tried to break into cars
A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning in the 3200 block of Market Street. He faces misdemeanor charges of violation of pre-trial supervision and court-ordered supervision.
According to the arrest report, Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the area of Walmart on Market Street in reference to a possible vehicle burglary in progress. On arrival several employees pointed to man in front of the store. They alleged the man was going through the parking lot and checking locked doors on vehicles, according to deputies via dispatch.
The man, who had a large backpack in his possession, was detained. It was advised by dispatch that he was on Alternative Sentencing with a search and seizure clause for alcohol and drugs, the arrest report states. Upon opening the backpack, officers found two large containers of vodka and rum, both had liquid missing. The man was arrested at 3:32 a.m. for the charges. Bail: $3,500.
— A 19-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, both of Carson City, were arrested Jan. 15, 8:31 p.m. in the 1400 block of Como Street. The pair each face misdemeanor warrant charges for possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrants were issued out of Carson City Municipal Court on Jan. 9. Bail: $500 each.
— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Jan. 15, 3:02 p.m. in the area of Colorado and Kansas streets on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court on Oct. 7, 2013. He was stopped for speeding when the warrant was discovered. Bail $492.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
