They’ll be covering the versatility of drones, and fully expect you to be surprised. Chili’s Restaurant welcomes Mother-son duos for a night of quality time. Come join in the presentations by Dr. Alyson Andreasen and Carl Lackey as they discuss the behaviors of mountain lions and bears in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Thu, 08/28/2014 - 4:22pmThe League of Women Voters of Northern Nevada, in conjunction with Sierra Nevada Forums and American Association of University Women, has announced a series of election forums to be held Sept. 22 through Sept. 30 in Carson City. The forums will present both candidates for races and ballot proposition questions that will be on the ballot for the general election on November 4. The public is invited to attend these forums, which will be held at the Carson City Community Center, Sierra Room. Doors open at 5:30 and the forum begins at 6:00 each evening.

Recently, I was quite amazed when I was introduced to the Sierra Nevada Forum, a group of local people who organize assemblies to inform the citizens of Carson City about important current issues. The amazing part is that the group finds experts in each field who respond to questions from the Forum and audience and are held firmly to fact-based responses.
Carson City Democratic Women's Club

The Program begins at noon and will consist of election of officers, dues payments, discussion of summer activities and compiling a list of questions to submit to the July 16 Sierra Nevada Forum concerning the renovation and cost of the City's waste water, sewer an water systems. Fees will be going up so let's get informed on what is going on!
