Northern Nevada off-road rescue group: The mud is merciless on the trails
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Thu, 03/16/2023 - 7:50amIt is not advisable to off-road until trail conditions improve, says 775 Offroad and Recovery, a volunteer Northern Nevada organization that removes struck and stranded vehicles from public lands.
The group noted that especially now with the rain and added snow melt that off-road trails have become saturated with mud.

49th annual Virginia City Grand Prix event canceled for 2020

Entering its 49th year, Virginia City’s historic annual off-road race was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17 through Sunday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event was rescheduled twice in hopes of holding the event for 2020.

Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Receives Generous Donation from Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church

Permits cost $20 per cord, with a two-cord minimum purchase and a limit of 10 cords per household.
