Dayton man killed in motorcycle crash on SR-207; cause of crash unknown

On Sunday, July 28, 2019, at approximately 7:58 PM, NHP Troopers were dispatched to a serious injury crash on SR-207 and Douglas County mile marker 1 involving a motorcycle.

Preliminary investigation shows that a black 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on SR-207. For an unknown reason, the motorcycle overturned and both driver and passenger were ejected.
The driver (Carlos Esparza, a 56-year-old Dayton resident) succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at an area hospital.

Alleged leader of local 'outlaw motorcycle club' arrested on plethora of charges by SET, Tri-County Gang Unit

A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested by the Tri-County Gang Unit withe the assistance of the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team, on five felony charges, one gross misdemeanor charge, and three misdemeanor charges after he allegedly committed felony domestic battery.

According to the report, David Sanchez is the president of the Deadly Sins Motorcycle Club Carson City Nevada chapter and he is associated with the Vagos Motorcycle Club and was arrested in the 900 block of Woodside Drive early Friday morning.

UPDATE 5:21PM: A motorcycle rider injured in a crash late Wednesday afternoon on Highway 50 East has been flown to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno. Their condition is unknown at this time. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The road was closed briefly to allow for the helicopter to land.

Care Flight called to Goni and Research Way for motorcycle vs vehicle crash

Update: As of 4:16 p.m., Care Flight departed the scene headed towards Renown Medical Center with at least one victim of the crash.

Around 3:45 p.m. Friday afternoon, a motorcycle and vehicle crash caused traffic to be blocked at both Goni and Research Way.

Soon after, Care Flight was called to respond to the accident site.

Injuries are unknown at this time.
