Trial date set for man accused in Dec. 13 fatal shooting on Carson Colony

A Reno man has been indicted for murder in a shooting that happened in December on Washoe Tribal land in Carson City.

Carson City Sheriff: 4 juveniles in custody as Saturday's shooting investigation continues

UPDATE: At approximately 4:30 p.m., State Division of Investigations officers took a fourth juvenile into custody related to the Saturday, Jan. 25 shooting. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office has determined that no other suspects are being sought at this time. The fourth juvenile will be returned to Carson City, where he will be charged similarly to those already in custody.

Carson City man arrested for battery, obstruction following living room brawl

A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3400 block of Harvard Way Friday evening for battery and obstructing after he allegedly fought with his wife's coworker in their living room.

According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the residence in report of a fight in progress. The reporting party was the man's wife and the other person in the fight was her co-worker, according to the report, and both were "highly intoxicated."

Carson City deputies arrest men for possession of drugs, bottled mercury

A 31-year-old Gardnerville man and a 29-year-old transient man were arrested in the area of the Goni Water Tower after deputies were alerted to a man in a vehicle next to the tower who appeared to be incapacitated and found they were allegedly using drugs and were in possession of several bottles of mercury.

Chinese New Year, Carson Comedy Club's military appreciation night, live music and more: Carson City region readies for weekend

Heading into the last weekend of January there’s a mountain of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include a Chinese New Year Celebration at the Nevada State Museum and the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada. The advisory for Topaz Lake provides safe eating advice for black bass species, Mountain Sucker, Rainbow Trout, and Sacramento Sucker.

A 36-year-old man was arrested Sunday for parole and probation violation and could face additional charges following an incident in which his girlfriend was allegedly hit by his vehicle.

Misfits Theater Group Holds Auditions for Spring Melodrama

This old-time melodrama directed by Andra Woolman is set in the Wild West and has a cast of eight (8) men and five (5) women.
