Carson City's Proscenium Players Inc. theater group presents The Odd Couple in February
Carson City’s theater company, Proscenium Players Inc., is bringing the female version of The Odd Couple to the BAC’s Black Box Theater from February 14-23 for two weekend’s worth of performances.
The Odd Couple follows the story of two mismatched roommates — one neat and uptight, the other messy and easygoing—and their antics as they try to live with one another. The play was written by Neil Simon and originally premiered on Broadway in 1965. The show has seen numerous revivals since then, has been adapted in television series, and in 1985 it was rewritten so the roommates were a pair of women instead of men.
Florence Unger and Olive Madison are at it again in PPI’s performance of The Odd Couple. A few changes have been made to the original version: instead of a poker party, Ms. Madison invites the girls over for Trivial Pursuit, and The Pidgeon sister have been replaced by the Constanzuela brothers. However, the original story and hilarity of the show remain unchanged.
Come to the BAC’s Black Box Theatre, located at 449 W. King Street in Carson City, to see this wonderful performance. Show times will be 7 p.m. on Feb. 14-15, 21-22 and 2 p.m. on Feb. 16 and Feb. 23. Tickets prices for the show are only $16 for seniors, students, and members, $18 in advance, and $20 at the door.
If you have any questions feel free to call the BAC at 775-883-1976 or stop by the BAC during the week!
