Secretary Of State Outlines Process For Filling Potential District Court Judicial Vacancies

CARSON CITY – With the potential for several vacancies within the state District Court system in the 2012 election year, the Secretary of State’s Office has issued a legal interpretation to address the issue of nominating candidates to vacated seats and to clarify questions about the process.

At least one District Court judicial seat in Clark County, and possibly more, could soon be vacant.

GCA is a Kindergarten through 8th Classical Christian School. The Carson City Senior Citizens Center will be holding open auditions for the 2012 Senior Follies production of “Those Delightful Decades.” This production will be co-directed by Norma Conway and Carla Wilson.

This annual production is a fundraiser for the senior meals programs here in Carson City. If you are age 35 or older and would like to be a part of this wonderful fundraising project we would love to have you share your talents with us. It is a variety show consisting of musical and comedy acts ranging from the 1920’s through today.

Brewery Arts Center seeking new operator for cafe

Nv Shows announced today it is looking for chefs and vendors for the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry in Virginia City. (Prize money will be awarded)
March 17, 2012 is the world famous Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry. Anyone who wishes to sign up to cook will be given 40 pounds of beef "fries" as part of their $100 application/permit fee. This event takes place on St. Patricks day so there will also be a fun parade at noon. Craft vendors, non profits and local companies are also invited to purchase a booth space.

More Than 500 Capital City Republicans Turn Out For Caucus As Romney Takes Big Lead

CARSON CITY – About 500 Republicans in the capital city participated in the First in the West GOP caucus today, hearing from candidate representatives and learning the rules as early returns suggested favorite Mitt Romney would win the contest handily.

Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich were battling for second place.

Rep. Mark Amodei, R-Nev., the new representative for the 2nd Congressional District, urged caucus goers to support the GOP nominee whoever it might be if they truly want change in Washington, DC.
