During this free session, elder law attorney John Smith will be on-site to share tips and tools to help community members understand the basics of elder law and other important elements to consider as families plan for long-term care.

Helicopter Ambulance Subscription Info Meeting

Great news! Did you know that if you have to be flown to Renown via helicopter ambulance that the standard ground ambulance subscription will not cover the helicopter ride? AirMed will be here on Saturday, March 3rd between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Blaqk Coffee located at 655 US Hwy 50 East, Dayton, NV for an information session.

And even more good news! There will also be an information session in Silver Springs, on March 3rd from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Pizza Factory. We just confirmed it!

Senator Square: Giving, serving and learning is what Carson High is all about

Though the holiday season has come to an end, the students at CHS want the Carson City community to know the giving will be remembered and will continue. Carson High School's NJROTC cadets surprised their instructors James Ingram and Daniel Meyer when, two weeks before the end of the semester, they voted to adopt five families for the holidays.

Tesla Gigafactory to host July 23 hiring information session through Nevada JobConnect

Tesla’s Gigafactory near Sparks is hiring for multiple positions and will host an information job hiring session for applicants selected through Nevada JobConnect.

The information session will be Saturday, July 23. To be selected to attend, applicants should apply at their nearest Nevada JobConnect location to get a referral and receive an invitation to attend the session hosted by Tesla representatives.

Senator Square: Nevada Week of Respect

This week is the official Nevada Week of Respect. The purpose of this week is to promote respect as an antidote to bullying and cyberbullying. Here is what is going on at CHS to celebrate the Week of Respect:

  • The American Sign Language club is going to be signing songs at lunch on Thursday.
  • The Gay-Straight Alliance is going to be putting up a respect wall - a giant poster for people to write what they respect about someone else.
  • There will be a daily announcement with a tip on being an upstanding young adult.
