Carson City Historical Society - Holiday Party
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Thu, 11/15/2018 - 9:35amThe Carson City Historical Society will hold their annual Holiday Party at the Bliss Mansion, located at 608 Elizabeth St. on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 1 to 3 PM. A light buffet lunch will be catered by A Catered Affaire, consisting of salads, sandwiches and desserts.
Robert Nylen, Curator of History at the Nevada State Museum will give an informative talk on The Carson City Mint Building: A Community Icon – approaching 150 years old in 2020.
There will also be a report on the activities and accomplishments of the Carson City Historical Society for the past year.
Nevada adds 5,100 jobs in October, unemployment dips to 4.4 percent

Overall job growth is up 45,800 jobs and grew by 3.4 percent year-over-year, according to figures released Wednesday by the state's Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.

CCAI will host an opening reception on Friday, Oct. 5, 5-7 p.m. The exhibition will be in the gallery from October 5, 2018 to Jan. 31, 2019.
The Courthouse is located at 885 E Musser Street, Carson City. The reception and the exhibition are free and the public is cordially invited. The gallery is open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
