I was surrounded by many modalities of healing from a variety of cultures: artists, medicine men and women, yogis, energy healers, and spiritualists. As someone who heals companies and leaders through communication, I felt right at home. The messages rang through loud and clear and you will see many of my a-ha moments translated into my column here.
Nevada Arts Council announces fiscal year 2020 grant recipients

'Community Conversation' held tonight, discussing issues facing Carson City

UWNNS's Listening Tour will ask and listen to community members throughout different northern Nevada counties. Information collected will be used to inform and guide future work. Celebrating the Life of Carol Cronenberger

Born to Harold and Evelyn Beeson in Oroville, Calif., Carol spent her childhood in the hard scrabble lumber camp of Grays Flat in the Feather River Canyon and later in Marysville, where Harold continued his life’s work as a sawmill planer. The Beesons moved to Reno in 1951, where Carol graduated from Reno High School in 1955 and the University of Nevada, Reno in 1959.
Memory Care Expansion Begins at Summit Estates Senior Living

The $900,000 construction project began on Feb. 28 and is expected to take about six months to complete.

The Nevada Basin to Range Exchange, BRX, is a one-year program that includes in-person gatherings, intercommunity arts-based exchange activities and peer-to-peer mentorship, said Tony Manfredi, executive director of the Nevada Arts Council.

A series of storms is forecast to move into our region Saturday, dropping temperatures as well as rain and snow. As the photo suggests, rain in the morning is a sailor's warning, so batten down those hatches.
The Nature Conservancy Introduces New River Fork Ranch Preserve Manager

“I’ve been working for The Nature Conservancy as a Restoration Technician at the McCarran Ranch Preserve on the Truckee River for nearly four years,” explains Leonard. “Now, I’m really looking forward to bringing my conservation skills and background to the beautiful Carson Valley. I’m excited to engage with community members to make the most of this incredible preserve and to build on the success that TNC and partners have had here over nearly two decades.”
