Bald Eagle on Silver Oak Golf Course Sunday morning
Submitted by Brett Fisher on Sun, 01/13/2019 - 12:29pmAn adult Bald Eagle was spotted Sunday morning eating breakfast on Silver Oak Golf Course in Northwest Carson City.
Then a golf cart came along and disturbed the bird's meal. But that's when I got these shots.
Over the span of 24 hours, I have found both Golden and Bald Eagles here around the Nevada state capital, truly capturing the namesake of the "Eagle Valley."

With mostly sunny skies today and a high temperature in the mid-to-upper 40s, you've got few excuses not to get out and see the Eagle Valley breathing with its natural life.
Golden Eagles at Prison Hill Recreation Area in Carson City
Submitted by Brett Fisher on Sat, 01/12/2019 - 3:17pmA nesting pair of Golden Eagles was spotted Saturday in the Prison Hill Recreation Area of Southeast Carson City, directly off Golden Eagle Lane and due east of the Northern Nevada Correctional Center.
The eagles had selected a smart rock outcropping about 300 yards east of Golden Eagle Lane, giving them protection and a 360-degree survey of the landscape.

Rolling in the Knead: Cookie dough sales raise whopping $9,200 for Carson City school

In total, the gross sales were equivalent to more than $23,000. The school earns about 40 percent of total gross sales, bringing the net total to $9,200. A total of 1,547 units were sold.
