World Cowboy Fast Draw Championship

There will be Civil War Re-enactments, Cowboy Mounted Shooting, Nevada Gunslingers gun fight re-enactment, and over 40 food, clothing and craft vendors with live music on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Sunday 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Admission is $5, $4 for seniors and military, $3 kids ages 13-17. Under 13 are admitted free.
RSVP Spring Fun Fair returns to Mills Park this weekend
Submitted by editor on Wed, 05/06/2015 - 1:59pmFor the 30th year, the Nevada Rural Counties Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Inc. (RSVP) will sponsor the Spring Fun Fair and Carnival at Mills Park this Thursday, May 7 through Sunday, May 10.
The carnival opens at 5 pm on Thursday and Friday, at 2 pm on Saturday and Noon on Sunday. All proceeds go toward services for Carson City seniors designed to assist them to remain independent and in their own homes with dignity.
RSVP Nevada Day celebration and carnival to celebrate Silver State's 150th birthday
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Fri, 09/26/2014 - 12:41pmFor the 29th year, the Nevada Rural Counties Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Inc. will sponsor the Nevada Day Carnival at Mills Park on Oct. 30 through Nov. 2, 2014, RSVP executive director Susan Haas announced Friday.
Earlier this year RSVP went all out over July 4 with a spectacular fireworks display, synchronized to music, to mark Nevada’s Sesquicentennial. For Nevada Day weekend, visitors can expect plenty of games, thrilling carnival rides and entertainment venues.
“We will have a lot more family fun and entertainment than ever before this year,” said Haas.
