Carson City Health and Human Services reports Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 that there are 32 new cases and 51 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 8,787, with 4,220 recoveries and 106 deaths; 4,461 cases remain active.

Quad County, Carson City COVID-19 Saturday briefing: 91 new cases, 150 additional recoveries

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020 that there are 91 new cases and 150 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 8,755, with 4,169 recoveries and 106 deaths; 4,480 cases remain active.

DETR: Rescheduled updates to Unemployment Insurance website to debut new look and improved navigation on claimant and employer login screens

The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) announced that in order to conduct regular system updates, they are temporarily taking the Unemployment Insurance (UI) website, ui.nv.gov offline on Saturday, December 26th from 6 AM to midnight, a period of lower traffic. During this time, individuals will not be able to file claims or access the resource materials.

Nevada begins distribution of COVID-19 vaccine to hospitals, long-term care facilities as part of Tier 1 phase

Distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine is underway within the state of Nevada, including our local communities in the north. Those who are first up to receive the vaccine include health care personnel and long term care facilities as a part of the first phase of Tier 1 distribution.

The first batch of initial COVID-19 vaccines has reached Carson City, and was received by Carson Tahoe Health Tuesday morning.
