Among today's events are a morning walk and evening hike hosted by Muscle Powered, a chamber luncheon that focuses on Nevada Ballot Question 3 and the showing of the film "Westward the Women" by the Carson City Classic Cinema Club.
Signups underway for Carson City area 4-H Science of Gardening summer club

Kids who enroll will be able to be involved in the science of gardening and will learn what it takes to grow their own tomatoes and more.

This project club will be focused on youth gardening with workshops on best garden tools for kids, what materials make the best beds, raised beds or not, seeds and how to start them, what grows in the Great Basin, how to plant a garden, the 3 sisters – a Native American way to plant, selecting a site, container gardens, micro climates in the garden, designing a garden and so much more.
4-H National Youth Science Day

4-H National Youth Science Day is the world's largest youth-led science experiment. Every year thousands of youth are taking part in the National Science Experiment focusing on important STEM topics and issues.
Cooperative Extension Carson City Office Horticulture Expertise

If you would like to visit with Wendy or drop off samples she will be in the Carson City Office two days per month. In July it will be July 1 and July 15.
Cooperative Extension Hosts Weed Warriors Basic Training

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, Carson City Parks and Rec and the Weed Coalition will be offering Weed Warriors Basic Training class Wednesday, June 8, 1 to 5 p.m. and Thursday, June 9, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., cost is $35.
Radon Presentation Tuesday at Carson City Senior Center offers free short-term test kit
