Tickets available for Carson City Lions Club 23rd annual community crab feed March 23
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 02/26/2024 - 3:03pmThe Carson City Host Lions is pleased to announce the 23rd annual community Crab Feed will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Fuji Park Hall.
The Lions, with the help of Celebrity Chef Jonathan Chapin and his team, will serve up Dungeness crab, roasted beef tri-tip, salad, bread, and ice cream. There will be music, dancing, raffle prizes and a silent auction to raise funds for Lions' projects.

Along the music front, CHS Band will host its winter concert at the Carson City Community Center and our own local country music star and Nashville recording artist Art Mulcahy will be at Jimmy G's. Dozens of vendors sold different forms of art to capture the eyes of attendees while the lush greens, plants and flowers in the Greenhouse served as a comforting background.

Capital Ford awards Carson High bands $8,000 from Drive 4UR School fundraiser

Families will have a hard time choosing between the Cops and Kids Open House and Safety Fair at the Sheriff’s Office and the ‘Kids to Parks’ Day activities at Silver Saddle Ranch. Submitted by editor on Sat, 08/27/2016 - 8:03pmAttention musicians: The Carson City Symphony will begin rehearsals for the 2016-17 concert season on Wednesday, August 31, 7:00 to 9:15 p.m., at the Carson High School band room, 1111 N. Saliman Road in Carson City.
The Symphony, conducted by David Bugli, is a volunteer orchestra of about 60 players who perform music from the 15th to 21st centuries. It is open to string players at any time without audition, and to other instrumentalists when positions are available.

For some healthier fare, hit up the Spring Farmers Market downtown. Go fly a kite at Dangberg Home Historic Park, just past Douglas High School on Highway 88; their ‘Something in the Wind’ Celebration is both Saturday and Sunday. Don’t forget to leave non-perishable food by your mailbox: the annual ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ food drive is today. Take a gander at the whole list, there is plenty of stuff to do in the Carson City area this weekend.
