Nevada is an important early precinct caucus state. Please come help us spread the word about Bernie Sanders and our caucus this Saturday (2/20/16) as we go do to door and talk with voters in our neighborhoods

We will offer a brief canvass training and you will be provided canvass materials to include a script, a list of voters, Bernie literature, and a walk map. Please dress in layer, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring a bottle water.

We have provided a 6 hour window but come when you can and canvass as many shifts as you are available to do.

The Carson Water Subconservancy District has selected Mark Kimbrough to receive the 2016 Andy Aldax Carson River Watershed Award for Exemplary Service in Conservation and Protection of the Carson River Watershed. The award, created in 2007, recognizes individuals or organizations that actively demonstrate a 10-plus year commitment and accomplish plans and projects to improve and sustain the Carson River Watershed.

The Carson Area Chapter 388 of the Vietnam Veterans of America cordially invites all Vietnam Veterans and the general public to the 2016 “Welcome Home” Vietnam Veterans Ceremony to be held at the Nevada Vietnam War Memorial at Mills Park.

The half hour Ceremony is intended to honor those who served during the Vietnam War and came home while remembering those Brothers and Sisters who served, but never made it home.

The Ceremony will be followed by a “No-Host” Reception from 5:30-8:30 at the Gold Dust Hotel and Casino located at 2171 E William St, Carson City, NV 89701.

Youth Theatre Carson City will hold auditions this Saturday for Disney’s "Alice in Wonderland, Jr." The show will run four performances, April 8-10 in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center.

We are looking for actors, singers, and dancers grades K-12, who will be cast to play all the classic characters including Alice, The White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter, The Cheshire Cat, and of course, The evil Queen of Hearts – plus a host of other colorful characters.

Join us for a special partner yoga class, while the sounds from gong and other percussion type instruments are played during the yoga class. The class finishes with the Savasana experience, the healing sounds of the Gong.
This is a beginner basic class with gentle partner poses of stretching and movement supporting your partner.

Experience the "Reiki blast of healing energy" by multiple Practitioners and Masters. No appointment necessary. It is a first come, first serve basis.
There is no charge for these sessions, but a heart-felt donation is greatly appreciated for the Esperanza Foundation.
