It takes me awhile to embrace what some would call their favorite season. It usually takes until about now, a few days before Nevada Day, to notice that the loss of my beloved summer is turning into something new — the holiday season.

Nevada retailers projected to hire more than 7,000 workers for holiday season

In the Silver State, the Retail Association of Nevada estimates retailers will boost hiring by 7,100 new positions during the October-to-December holiday shopping period.

There are so many clubs on campus; there are Interact Club meetings at lunch in CHS teacher Erin Been’s room every Thursday, and Been also advises the Represent Club.

Costella was an active member of NHS, and this fact influenced his desire to attend college at Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA where he earned degrees in Political Science and English.

Carson City, Douglas County locals enlist in the United States Army
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Thu, 09/26/2019 - 6:49pmThe Carson City Army Recruiting Station is proud to welcome two of our newest Future Soldiers, Alissa Lucas and Taylor Clark. Alissa Lucas is currently a Senior at Carson High School and a member of the Junior ROTC.
She chose to attend training to be Military Police and will leave after high school graduation. Taylor Clark is from Gardnerville and a 2019 graduate of Douglas High School. She chose to become an Intelligence Analyst and leaves for Basic Training in November. Congratulations to you both for making the decision to serve our country!
Carson City middle schools receive grants for hands-on STEM programs

The opportunity was made possible with the help of Tesla’s K-12 Education Investment Fund, the Nevada Department of Education and Project Lead The Way.
