35th Pops Party Concert featured Sunday at Carson City's Capital Amphitheater

The Carson City Symphony's 35th annual Pops Party concert will be held this Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Capital Amphitheater, in the park between the Capitol and Legislature buildings.

The Carson City Symphony, lead by David Bugli, will be joined on the program by singer-songwriter Tom Miller and the Carson City Symphony Chorus, led by interim director Ricky Hutton.

Heading into Tuesday, May 7, 2019 we are looking at another picture perfect day for a morning or evening stroll with Carson City's own Muscle Powered and a bevy of events, including a chamber digital marketing workshop, Polka Dot Powerhouse Carson City Chapter meeting and open house, family movie and craft night at the Carson City Library, a filmmaking discussion followed by a showing of the classic "12 Angry Men" at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall and more. Documentary on Wednesday presented by Partnership Carson City sheds light on opioid addiction

Partnership Carson City is inviting the community to the premiere of “Voices of Opioid Addiction — A Retrospective” on Wednesday afternoon.

“Opioids have become a scourge to Nevada families,” said Samantha Szoyka, training specialist for Partnership Carson City. “We’re hoping this film sheds light on the horrors of this drug and give people — especially young people — a look into the devastation it can cause.”
