The League of Women Voters will host a number of election forums during the month of October at the Brewery Arts Performance Hall in Carson City.

CARSON CITY — Autumn Zemke is the Democratic candidate for Nevada Assembly District 40 and is one of several first time female candidates running for state office in 2018.

League of Women Voters Candidates Forum

The League of Women Voters of Northern Nevada in partnership with Sierra Nevada Forums, AAUW, and PFLAG is holding a candidates forum on October 16 beginning at 5:30 pm at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall in Carson City.

Candidates for Congressional District 2, State Senate District 16, and Assembly District 40 will participate. The candidates for Senate District 17 and Assembly District 39 have also been invited. The following are 100 percent of the votes counted: combined absentee, early voting, Carson City Courthouse election day results and the full list from the Carson City Community Center from tonight. Total voter count is 25,061. Carson City Clerk Sue Merriwether reports 91.79 percent of the registered voters turned out to vote.

Doors open at 5:30 PM with the debate scheduled from 6:00 PM To 8:00 PM.

Carson City candidates talk turkey at Tuesday night forum

Candidates for Carson City Mayor and State Assembly District 40 addressed a nearly full house of voters at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall Wednesday night during a candidate forum sponsored by the Carson City Chamber of Commerce.
