Annual Carson City Feast of Chocolate re-imagined due to COVID, scholarship donors sought

Our goal is to continue to provide scholarships for deserving young women in their pursuit of educational advancement.

Dozens of sweets are in store for Saturday. The American Association of University Women holds its 20th annual Feast of Chocolate at the Carson Plaza and Event Center. Artsy Fartsy Gallery hosts its 9th annual Jewelry and Chocolate Show with several new decorative pieces. To cap-off Saturday, the legendary Cab Calloway Orchestra makes its way to the capital city.

The ninth annual Carson High School Safe Grad Safe and Sober Run/Walk occurs at the CHS track.
And the 20th annual Feast of Chocolate, a scholarship fundraiser for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Capital Branch, is being held at the Plaza Hotel Event Center.

The weekend also features early afternoon shows specifically for families and children, an open mic storytelling concert and a storytelling group Carson Valley Memories led by Nancy Raven.

Travel back in time with the Carson Chamber Singers in Concert featuring Requiem for the Living and music of the Renaissance at the Shepherd of the Sierra Church. The popcorn is always free at the monthly Carson City Classic Cinema Club’s movie viewing.
