US50 reopens at Lake Tahoe from Meyers to Pollock Pines following law enforcement investigation
UPDATE: US-50 has now reopened. A suspicious item was investigated but no danger was found.

US 50 is currently closed from Meyers to Pollock Pines (Sly Park Road) due to a "police investigation." According to Caltrans, all cars must exit.
All agencies are involved, according to CHP Dispatch.
At this time it is unknown when the road will reopen.
Caltrans has changed its message signs from South Lake Tahoe to Placerville to tell drivers that US50 is closed.
