Carson City deputies make arrests for burglary, drugs and warrants
A 55-year-old man was arrested Friday for suspicion of felony shoplifting after attempting to steal $228 in merchandise from Walmart, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Robin Conway of Fallon was booked at 6:51 p.m. in the 3000 block of North Roop Street for felony suspicion of burglary by shoplifting, misdemeanor petit larceny and being an intoxicated pedestrian.
According to the arrest report, Conway is accused of taking several items from Walmart including a tool box, food, DVDs and clothing all valued at $228.40.
Deputies located the man at a nearby convenience store. He had $25 in his possession. Officers learned he had five prior petit larceny arrests throughout northern Nevada. Bail: $5,504.
In other arrests:
— A 24-year-old Gardnerville man, Zackery Shawn Potteiger, was arrested early Saturday morning, 3:28 a.m. in the 300 block of North Carson Street for a felony Lyon County warrant alleging embezzlement and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued out of East Fork Township Court in Douglas County.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to a bar on North Carson Street regarding a fight. Potteiger was one of the men involved in the altercation. A computer records check revealed he had the warrants. Bail: $11,000.
— A 37-year-old Dayton man, Allen Lucky Drennan Jr., was arrested early Saturday in the 700 block of Fleischmann Way for felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant.
According to the arrest report, deputies responded after the man refused to leave the property he was at after being told to leave. Deputies did a background check that came back with warrant for his arrest for contempt of court. He was taken into custody. During the booking process, a deputy located a small baggie of methamphetamine on his person. Bail: $3,500.
— A 20-year-old transient was arrested Friday, 7:46 p.m. in the 300 block of South Carson Street for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Nov. 16, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $10,000.
— A 26-year-old Silver Springs woman was arrested Friday, 10:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, no proof of insurance, a license plate lamp that wasn’t working and not using a turn signal. Bail: $2,008.
