Carson City arrests: Woman jailed for allegedly shoplifting more than $400 in merchandise

A 38-year-old Mound House woman was arrested Wednesday, in the 1400 block of South Carson Street, for misdemeanor suspicion petit larceny and gross misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff's report states.

According to the arrest report, deputies responded to a business where a store manager alerted to a woman wearing several coats who had fled the store after stealing several items of merchandise.

Officers located the woman who matched the description of the suspect outside the mall and detained her. During a search deputies located a backpack, which was also stolen, with merchandise including boots, several jackets, a multi-tool and suspected drug paraphernalia used to consume methamphetamine.

The value of the merchandise stolen was valued at $422.92. The woman was read her Miranda warning and she declined to discuss the matter. Bail: $1,489.
