Carson City sheriff's deputies make domestic battery, warrant arrests
A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Nov. 23 for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, a sheriff's office booking report states.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to a residence for a domestic battery in progress. Deputies arrived and could hear a male and female arguing in a room. The male answered the door. Officers asked him to stop out of the room and talk, while another deputy would talk to the reporting party.
The female victim was visibly upset and shaking, the report states. The officer asked her what happened. The woman stated she had been gone for the last couple days due to the male fighting with her.
She said the man asked her to come back to the home because someone was supposed to serve them paperwork for their Child Protective Services case. The female said she was sitting in a chair in the corner of a room when the male told her to "get the f*** out," the report states. The woman said she got up and the man grabbed her by her sweatshirt and tried to drag her out of the room.
The woman said she tried to get the man off of her and might have hit him and was also telling him to stop. Once the man let go of her, she called 911 and locked herself in the bathroom. Officers observed fresh rug burns on both of her knees, consistent with being dragged across the carpet, the report states. She also had red marks and a scratch on her neck from being pulled by her sweatshirt, the report states. She declined medical attention.
After talking with the woman, an officer went outside to speak with the male. He was asked what happened. He said he told the woman to get out of the room. He told the officer he grabbed her by the sweatshirt and tried dragging her out of the room. He said she was trying to get him off of her and that she did not hit him, the report states.
After interviewing both parties, the officer arrested the male as the suspected primary aggressor. He was booked for domestic battery, a misdemeanor. Bail: $3,137.
