Night for the grown-ups: Carson City Holiday Crawl featured Dec. 4 to benefit Holiday with a Hero
The night following the Friday, Dec. 3 Silver and Snowflakes Festival of Lights at the Nevada State Capitol is a Saturday evening celebration designed specifically for grown-ups, the 6th annual Holiday Crawl to benefit Holiday with a Hero.
The Holiday Crawl with make various stops at downtown Carson City bars and restaurants on Saturday, Dec. 4. All proceeds benefit Holiday with a Hero and the Students-in-Transition program in the Carson City School District.
The event is from 5 to 10 p.m. Check-in begins at 4 p.m. at Adams Hub for Innovation. Organizers say they will update information about participating businesses in coming days. Holiday Crawl participants must be 21 and show a valid ID.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event.

To buy tickets in person, please go to the Carson City Fire Department at 777 S. Stewart St., Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or the Nevada Day Store at 1013 S. Carson St. (call 775-882-2600 to confirm that day's hours). Tickets can be purchased for cash only at these locations and advance ticket sales will end at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3.

Holiday with a Hero provides a holiday shopping trip for students in the McKinney-Vento Students-in-Transition program within the Carson City School District.
Each December, students are paired with first responders or volunteers from community organizations where they use $100 gift cards from Walmart to Christmas shop for their family, and purchasing a gift for themselves. See the Holiday with a Hero Facebook page here for updates and more.
