Feed Nevada Day Turkey Round-Up in Carson City on Wednesday
Feed Nevada Day is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Mike’s Pharmacy in Carson City. Mike’s Pharmacy and News Talk 780 KOH will be collecting frozen turkeys to fill Salvation Army holiday food baskets for families in need in the Carson City, Douglas County, Tahoe area. News Talk KOH will be live at Mike's located at 1007 North Curry Street from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Those who wish to help can bring frozen turkeys to the Turkey Round Up or cash donations can be made so The Salvation Army can buy turkeys. If you are unable to bring a turkey donations can be made by credit card by calling Mike’s at 775-841-1400 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the day of the Round Up.
Each year hundreds of needy families depend on Mike’s Pharmacy and News Talk 780 KOH helping The Salvation Army provide for their Thanksgiving Dinner. The Salvation Army shares the turkeys from this round-up with several other agencies in Carson City, Douglas County and Tahoe to help them serve families in need.
