Partnership seeks Thanksgiving food donations for Lyon and Storey counties
Dayton Valley Urgent Care has once again partnered with Healthy Communities Coalition to help provide food to our local families during the holidays with additional drop off locations and a new partner, Thomas Real Estate Group.
Donations of nonperishable food items can be dropped off at Dayton Urgent Care, 901 Medical Center Drive (by the Highway 50 and Fortune light) Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as at Thomas Real Estate Group, 244 Dayton Valley Road, Suite 101, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thanksgiving donations will be accepted at Urgent Care and Thomas Real Estate Group locations until Friday, Nov. 13 at close of business.
As always, donations are also accepted at the HCC Dayton Food Pantry, 209 Dayton Valley Road, Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to nonperishable food items, the Food Pantry location is also able to accept donations of turkey, ham, fresh produce and other perishable, as well as nonperishable, food items. See story here for locations and more information.
Donations at the Dayton Food Pantry location are accepted year round to meet the needs of our community members. Currently, most needed are holiday meal items such as canned gravy, fruits and vegetables, boxed stuffing, fresh produce, and meats such as ham or turkey.
If you are a family in need of assistance, please stop by the HCC Dayton Food Pantry location to sign up for assistance during business hours.
Thank you, community, for your assistance and support.
