Pizza Factory offers free lunches for vets on Veterans Day
They say there's no such thing as a free lunch. But this Nov. 11, on Veterans Day, the Pizza Factory restaurants in Carson City, Dayton and across the west will treat veterans to lunch on the pizza chain's dime.
"We appreciate everything our veterans have done for our country and want to honor their service," says Mary Jane Riva, chief executive officer of Pizza Factory, which has 110 restaurants throughout Nevada, California Idaho, Washington, and Arizona.
The Carson City restaurant is located at 3120 Hwy 50 East. The Dayton restaurant is located at Pizza Factory 185 U.S. 50.
"They've done so much to help protect our freedom and keep us safe," adds Riva. "Now, it's our turn to give them something in return."
Here the remainder of a news release Pizza Factory officials sent today:
At Pizza Factory the slogan "We Toss 'Em, They're Awesome!," really is true. But its not just the pizzas that are awesome.
So are Pizza Factory's hardworking staff, who are known for their family friendly dining facilities, high-quality products, and their dedication to their customers and the communities they serves.
That dedication is why on this coming Veterans Day, veterans who either show up in military uniforms, bring military identification, or present DD Form 214s (also known as Certificates Of Release or Discharge From Active Duty), will be able to get something awesome at participating Pizza Factory restaurants: a free lunch special or a free scrumptious, lunch buffet.
While the announcement of the free lunches marks the first time Pizza Factory has made the unique offer to veterans, the move is just part of its commitment to, as CEO Riva tells it, "keep giving back to the community." Earlier this year, the company announced it was in the process of rebranding its stores and menus with a "new look," while expanding to new locations.
Despite growing to 110 stores in five states, Pizza Factory, based in Oakhurst, Calif., has stayed true to its roots since its founding in 1985. Pizza Factory restaurant owners take pride in the smile that first bite of pizza gives their guests.
Every restaurant is designed to be its community's hometown pizzeria. Its handmade pizzas are renowned for being made with 100 percent real mozzarella cheese and the company's mouthwatering sauce. Is it the hand-tossed dough, signature sauce, or incredibly fresh toppings that make the pizzas so delicious that diners savor every slice? Pizza Factory will continue to let its customers decide what they like best!
