Meanwhile, a Winter Storm Warning remains for the greater Lake Tahoe area until 11 p.m. Monday. Snow showers are expected to continue along the Sierra Crest into this evening. Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches are possible.

THURSDAY: Jazz and Beyond Music Festival

CARSON CITY — Nevada Department of Transportation officials are reminding motorists to drive safely as an eclipse darkens Nevada skies Monday. In northern Nevada, the sun will be as much as 90 percent eclipsed during mid-morning hours of Aug. 21.

Carson Online, the Carson City School District’s online education program, was piloted at Pioneer High School in 2009. It has become a very successful online credit option for students in CCSD that has helped change culture, provide technological support, and has helped raise the graduation rate in our district.
