Eyes on Carson City: Grant Davis returns home
Actor and Carson City native Grant Davis made his return to the Nevada state capital Tuesday for the screening and premier of "Something Like Summer," a film musical in which has a starring role.
The 20 year-old Silver State Charter School Class of 2014 graduate appeared in person for the film's showing Tuesday afternoon as part of the Jukebox International Film Festival at the Brewery Arts Center prior to a free concert he performed at 5 p.m. on the Bob McFadden Plaza in downtown Carson City.
Davis, who sings four songs as part of his starring role in the 2017 musical, serenaded and entertained spectators on the plaza Tuesday evening, singing popular hits, songs from the film as well as from his debut album.
His Tuesday performance was part of the Jukebox Film Festival and the 2017 Jazz and Beyond Carson City Music Festival.
