Public invited to unveiling of Gov. Sandoval's official portrait
CARSON CITY — The public is invited to the unveiling of Governor Sandoval’s official portrait Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the Old Assembly Chambers of the Capitol Building.
Sandoval’s portrait was painted by Adrian Gottlieb. Gottlieb is an internationally distinguished artist who began painting commissioned works at an extraordinarily early age.
His broad fine arts education includes a degree in Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology. He studied each summer at Charles Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy while still an undergraduate, and then immediately enrolled at The Florence Academy of Art in Florence to complete three years of intensive training in drawing and classic painting.
Official gubernatorial portraits of all Nevada governors from Nevada’s time as a territory to the present hang in the Capitol Building and Sandoval’s will join the others after the unveiling.
