NHP identifies Dayton man in fatal Carson City pedestrian crash at US-50 and Deer Run

The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified a Dayton resident who died in a pedestrian related vehicle crash on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021 east of Deer Run in Carson City.

The pedestrian, Allen Lynch, a 38-year-old Dayton resident, was transported to an area hospital where he died.

At approximately 7:24 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian crash on US-50 west, east of Deer Run in Carson City.

The preliminary investigation shows that a gray 2006 Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound on US-50 east of Deer Run. For unknown reasons, a male pedestrian was standing in the westbound travel lanes on US-50. The Impala struck the pedestrian.

This crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multi- Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) - Case #211001000.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is requesting the public’s help in locating a runaway male juvenile. Andrew Pinedo, 16, was last seen Wednesday, June 14 near Saliman Road and East William Street in Carson City.
