Carson City weekend weather: Near 100 for Saturday and Sunday
The heat continues this weekend for the Carson City region with above average temperatures and highs near 100 and then some cooling by early next week, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
Dry conditions are expected this weekend and early next week which will increase fire danger for areas mainly in western Nevada valleys where fuels are driest. There are slight chances for thunderstorms this weekend, with the best chances on Sunday. Flooding will continue for the creeks in Mono County and portions of the Walker River system.
Temperature wise this weekend: Hot. Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas can expect highs near 100 through Sunday. By Monday, temperatures will come down some to the lower 90s and by Tuesday, the upper 80s, according to the weather service.
The hot and dry conditions has prompted a Fire Weather Watch for Western Nevada from Monday afternoon through Monday night due to the potential for gusty winds combined with low humidity.
