All Hallows Eve at Fort Churchill State Historic Park Saturday, October 29
SILVER SPRINGS, Nev. – Enjoy an evening of old-fashioned Halloween fun at Fort Churchill State Historic Park. This family-friendly event will feature a variety of activities including harvest games on the museum lawn, a scavenger hunt around the fort ruins and pumpkin carving and scarecrow building contest.
Pumpkins, straw, and scarecrow frames will be provided. Please bring your own pumpkin carving tools and clothing to dress your scarecrow.
WHEN: Saturday, October 29, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pumpkin carving and scarecrow building will be available starting at 4 p.m. and judging will take place at 6 p.m. All other activities will be available from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. while supplies last.
WHERE: Fort Churchill is located 8 miles south of the Highway 95A/Highway 50 intersection on Highway 95A at 10000 Highway 95A, Silver Springs, NV 89429.
COST: Park entrance fees apply, $5.00 per vehicle for Nevada residents and $7.00 per vehicle for out-of-state visitors (cash or check only). There is no additional cost to participate in the event.

The passport challenge continues: The Nevada State Parks Passport Booklet is now available and may be picked up at any state park. Visitors who have their booklets stamped at 15 different parks will earn a
free annual pass to all Nevada State Parks. The booklet, which serves as a travel aid as well as travelogue for
park visitors, includes photos, a description of each park, lists of amenities, travel journal pages and spaces for validation stamps which have been designed to reflect each unique state park.
