Man with black Elvis wig robs convenience store south of Carson City
UPDATE: The following news release was issued this morning from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office regarding Thursday night's armed robbery of a convenience store on Mica Drive south of Carson City.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Carson Country Market 924 Mica Drive, for an armed robbery that had occurred. A white male described as approximately 25 years old, 5 feet five inches, 180 pounds wearing a black (Elvis) wig, black glasses, dark hoodie, and dark pants and armed with a handgun robbed the clerk at the store.
The suspect entered the store and stood near a display cabinet of alcohol. When approached by the clerk, the male turned around with the gun in his hand and ordered her to the ground. A male patron then entered the store and the suspect aimed the firearm at him and demanded money. When the patron presented a dollar, the suspect punched him in the face and left the store.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies, Nevada Highway Patrol and Washoe Tribal Officers immediately responded to the area and began searching the area.
The suspect has not been located.

Douglas County and Carson City sheriff's deputies are looking for a man, possibly dressed like Elvis, who may have used a gun to rob a convenience store Thursday night in the area of Mica Drive south of Carson City near the Douglas County line on the west side of Highway 395.
While details are unclear, the suspect was reportedly dressed like Elvis, had dark glasses, had dark complexion and was said to be stocky and about 180 pounds, possibly armed with a gun, according to dispatch. The robbery happened at the Carson Country Market, according to Douglas County authorities.

This is the second robbery to happen this week in Douglas County. A man robbed the 7-Eleven store on Tillman Lane in the Gardnerville Ranchos area early Tuesday morning.
