CHS Theater Aims High: 'Peter and the Starcatcher' opens Friday at Community Center
See the back story of Peter Pan and how he learned to fly as Carson High School Theatre Arts presents "Peter and the Starcatcher," opening this Friday at the Bob Boldrick Theater in the Carson City Community Center.
This hilarious play, written by Rick Elice, and based on a book by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, is the prequel to the beloved story of "Peter Pan." Learn how Peter and Captain Hook became enemies, who taught Peter to fly, and the creation of the story everyone loves.
While not a musical, there is a lot of music throughout the show, and there are a couple of songs performed.
The production will be performed at the Carson City Community Center Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4-6, and the following weekend, Oct. 11-13.
Showtime is 7 p.m. Oct. 4, 5, 11, 12. It begins at 2 p.m. on Oct. 6 and Oct. 13. Tickets will only be sold at the door. Students can buy tickets for $7 and adults can buy them for $10. The audience will be seated on the stage, so please enter the side closest to Mills Park
Jason Macy is directing this production. Andrew Sonnemaker and Jon Brill are providing the music. Lynette Gardner and Regina White are producing the show. The students play roles ranging from Lords and Pirates to Mermaids and Mollusks. There are close to 30 students in this production.
