Carson City sheriff's arrest log for Tuesday
A 28-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Tuesday, 1:32 a.m. in the area of Carson and Proctor streets on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to appear for a traffic violation, issued July 10, 2013 out of Nye County Justice Court, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
The man was stopped for speeding, going 40 mph in a posted 25 mph zone. A computer check determined the man had a warrant for his arrest out of Tonopah. Bail: $467.
— A 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 10:38 a.m. in the 500 block of North Stewart Street on misdemeanor destruction of private property. According to the arrest report, the man allegedly kicked the door in causing $75 in damage at a motel room. The man told the motel manager he would pay for the door repairs and would use his credit card. The manager processed the credit card and it declined. The manager told the arresting deputy she wished to pursue charges of destruction of private property and signed a citizen’s arrest form. Bail: $622.
— A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 10:06 a.m. in the area of Lavender Circle on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. According to the arrest report, the victim said the man grabbed her by her left arm during an argument. The woman sustained bruising. A photo was taken of the injury. The man confirmed that he and the victim became physical in the altercation and that he did grab her, the arrest report states. Bail: $3,137.
