NDOT: Section of State Route 342 temporarily closed for bypass construction

Dayton, Nevada– The public is warmly invited to join dietitian Kim Mason and chef Cynthia Kroon for a healthy cooking demonstration, followed by dinner, on Monday November 20, 2017 at 5:30pm at the Dayton Valley Community Center at 170 Pike Street. UPDATE 2:03PM: A mechanical issue is likely to blame for a presence of light smoke inside a Carson Tahoe Hospital care facility on North Minnesota Street, according to Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Dan Shirey. All those evacuated are now allowed back into the facility.

Carson City Fire Department was called Sunday afternoon to a report of smoke coming out of one of the Carson Tahoe care facilities on North Minnesota Street.

The Capital Community Band, under the direction of Richard Doede, will tie a big red bow around 2017 by presenting a Patriotic and Holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017. The free concert will be presented in the Bob Boldrick Theatre in the Carson Community Center.
