Carson City area Salvation Army to hold Oct. 9 free estate planning seminar
The Salvation Army of Carson City will host the free “Lunch and Learn” estate planning and charitable giving seminar Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Local accredited estate planning attorney, Cedric W. Anderson, and Salvation Army gift planning director, Mitch McConkey, will lead the discussion, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A free lunch will be provided to all attendees.
Estate Planning Seminar topics include:
— The benefits of a living trust
— What are the pitfalls to IRAs and 401Ks?
— How to use tax laws to my advantage
— What to do for a child who can’t handle money
The seminar will be held at the Carson City Corps Community Center, 911 East 2nd Street, Carson City. It should be noted this is the Salvation Army's new home location. Programs have not started here yet. Participants at this event will be among the first participate inside the new location.
