Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Deputies make felony drug busts Thursday

A 33 year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday afternoon at 3:55 p.m. in the 3500 block of Diamond Avenue on felony drug trafficking charges, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, as well as misdemeanor obstruction, drug paraphernalia possession and an active contempt of court bench warrant issued by the Carson City Justice Court.

Lenox Lacour was taken into custody after he was recognized from prior contacts by patrolling officers, who spotted him riding a bicycle in the area of Northgate Lane and Applegate Way.

A records check through Carson City dispatch confirmed an outstanding arrest warrant and deputies attempted to make a stop, the arrest report said.

But Lacour peddled faster in an effort to evade law enforcement, crossing five lanes on East College Parkway to residence on Diamond Avenue, where he then got off the bicycle and began running, the report said.

Officers yelled at Lacour to stop, but the suspect continued running through the yard of the residence. He was eventually located hiding behind bushes and detained in handcuffs, the report said.

During a search of Lacour, a small plastic baggie containing less than an ounce of methamphetamine was recovered, along with a glass pipe and butane torch style lighter.

Additional plastic baggies hidden in a cigarette carton were recovered in the bushes at the scene, containing more meth, the report said.

In all, just over 15 grams of meth were recovered upon the arrest. Lacour denied that all of the meth was his. He stated that only about 1.7 grams belonged to him, the report said.

Bail: $41,549.

In other arrests:

— A 28 year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday afternoon at 2:10 p.m. in the 700 block of Silver Oak Blvd for felony drug possession, as well as misdemeanor drug paraphernalia and obstruction, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

Jacob Madden was taken into custody after Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex laundry room on report of a male subject doing drugs in there, the arrest report said.

Once located, the officers made contact with Madden, who appeared nervous and agitated. When he placed his hands inside the front of his shorts, deputies attempted to detain him by grabbing his right arm, the report said.

Madden attempted to pull away from officers and tensed up his body. He was then taken to the ground at that point by both deputies and placed in handcuffs, the report said.

Madden identified himself to officers, but was otherwise uncooperative, yelling profanities at the officers and even requesting to be released from the handcuffs so he could fight them "one on one."

A piece of plastic with a black tar-like substance believed to be heroin was lying on the ground where Madden was first contacted. A search of the suspect's backpack also recovered metal with white residue and an empty syringe.

Madden was subsequent arrested and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $4,049.

— A 30 year-old Reno woman was arrested Thursday afternoon at 5:15 p.m. at the Carson City Sheriff's Office on an outstanding misdemeanor bench warrant issued by the Carson City Justice Court for failure to appear. Bail: $955.

According to the arrest report, a Sheriff's deputy on patrol observed a bicyclist riding without any reflectors or lights. A stop was made and the bicyclist identified.

A records check through Carson City Dispatch confirmed two active arrest warrants, both for failure to appear: One issued by Carson City Justice Court and a second from Washoe County.

The suspect was then arrested arrested and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $1,851.
